Larissa and Rick take us on their journey that started with a popcorn-maker-turned-coffee-roaster and a craving for the perfect cup of coffee. That DIY approach led to Mount Pleasant Roastery, a trust-based, community building small-batch roaster with a simple customer experience – the honour system. Their storefront is their front yard fence where neighbours are encouraged to pick up a bag of beans anytime, even if all they can offer in return is an IOU.
